Overview

The Citizen Cincom L20-VIII is the 8-axis configuration of the legendary L20 Swiss-type platform, one of the most widely installed 20mm Swiss automatics in the world. The VIII (8-axis) designation represents a capable multi-axis configuration with full dual-spindle operation and LFV chip-breaking technology, offering an excellent balance of capability and cost below the higher-axis L20-X and L20-XII variants.

With 8 axes under simultaneous control, the L20-VIII enables parallel processing of front-work and back-work. Main spindle runs at 10,000 RPM with 2.2/3.7/5.5 kW across continuous, 15-minute, and peak ratings. Back spindle matches at 10,000 RPM with 1.5/2.2/3.7 kW. Up to 38 tool positions with 6 gang turning tools and 25 rotary tools provide comprehensive tooling coverage.

LFV chip-breaking is standard on the L20-VIII, operating simultaneously on both spindles for reliable production in stainless steel, titanium, and other difficult materials. Rapid traverse reaches 32 m/min. The machine weighs approximately 2,630 kg with dimensions of 2,222 x 1,265 x 1,835 mm.
