Overview
The Citizen Cincom L20-IX is the 9-axis configuration of the L20 Swiss-type platform. The IX designation provides an additional axis beyond the VIII for enhanced simultaneous operation, typically adding a Y-axis on the back tool post for more complex back-end milling and off-center features.
Main spindle runs at 10,000 RPM with 2.2/3.7/5.5 kW. Back spindle at 10,000 RPM with 1.5/2.2/3.7 kW. Up to 34 tool positions with 6 gang turning tools and 21 rotary tools. LFV chip-breaking is standard on both spindles. Rapid traverse reaches 32 m/min. Machine weighs approximately 2,650 kg.
The L20-IX offers a step up from the L20-VIII for shops needing more back-end flexibility without the full 10-axis or 12-axis investment. Popular for medical and dental implant components.
