Overview
The Citizen Cincom B12E-V is a compact dual-spindle Swiss-type automatic lathe with 12mm bar capacity, occupying the middle position in the B12E family. The V designation adds a back spindle, transforming it into a complete part production platform capable of front and back machining in a single cycle, eliminating secondary operations for the majority of 12mm-class Swiss parts.
The main spindle reaches 12,000 RPM (8,000 RPM in R.G.B. mode) with 2.2/3.7 kW, while the back spindle operates at 6,000 RPM for back-turning, back-facing, back-drilling, and back-tapping. Maximum machining length is 135mm per chucking. The back spindle chuck accepts up to 12mm. With 13 tool positions, the B12E-V supports both front and back machining programs.
The R.G.B. feature allows operation with or without a guide bushing. At 1,150 kg and 5.2 kVA rated power (4 kVA average), the B12E-V is only marginally larger than the B12E-II but delivers substantially more capability.
For shops needing complete 12mm Swiss parts in a single operation without the rotary tool capability of the B12E-VI, the B12E-V offers the optimal balance of capability, cost, and simplicity in the B12E family.
