Overview

The Gleason P-Series 300 is a CNC gear hobbing machine designed for the high-precision production of external and internal cylindrical gears, splines, worms, and sprockets with workpiece diameters up to 300 mm. The P-Series architecture features a thermally symmetrical machine structure with hydrostatic guideways on the key linear axes to eliminate stick-slip and deliver sub-micron positioning repeatability. The direct-drive hob spindle supports climb and conventional hobbing at cutting speeds up to 600 m/min, accommodating both coated carbide and HSS hobs across a wide range of modules. Gleason's Active Vibration Control (AVC) technology continuously monitors and damps structural vibration, extending tool life and improving surface finish on demanding materials including hardened steel and case-hardened alloys.
