Enshu Enshu GE590H

The Enshu GE590H is a large-envelope horizontal machining center designed for production machining of substantial industrial and automotive components. With axis travels of 1,000 x 900 x 1,050 mm and a 630 x 630 mm work area, the GE590H provides the reach and capacity needed for machining large cast iron housings, pump bodies, and structural components that exceed the capability of 400-class and 500-class horizontals.

The BT50 spindle runs at 10,000 RPM, delivering the combination of torque and speed needed for both aggressive roughing on cast iron and finishing operations on aluminum. Rapid traverse reaches 50,000 mm/min across all axes, which is impressive for a machine in this size class and keeps non-cutting time competitive with smaller, faster machines. The table supports workpieces up to 1,200 kg, accommodating the heavy castings and multi-fixture setups common in production environments.

The 40-tool magazine handles the tooling requirements of complex multi-operation machining on large components, supporting long production runs without operator intervention for tool changes. Cutting feed rates reach 15,000 mm/min for productive material removal during contouring and face milling operations. The machine's rigid construction handles the significant cutting forces generated during heavy roughing with BT50 tooling on cast iron and steel.

The GE590H occupies a natural position between the GE580H (800 x 800 x 800 mm travels, 500 mm pallet) and Enshu's JE-series large horizontals. It targets production environments machining engine blocks, large transmission housings, industrial pump bodies, and other components where a 630 mm pallet and generous Z-axis travel are essential for four-face machining of tall, complex parts.
