Dener TTC-6 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Dener TTC-6 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Dener or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Dener TTC-6 is the smallest lathe in Dener's TTC and TTH range: a slant-bed CNC turning machine with a 6 inch (152 mm) chuck and a spindle that reaches 6,000 rpm. No other model in the range turns as fast.

Maximum turning diameter is 305 mm (12 in) under a swing of 560 mm (22 in), and the machining length is 433 mm (17 in). Those are chucker proportions. The machine suits short parts such as bushes, flanges, fittings and small shafts, where spindle speed does more for cycle time than motor power.

Bar work is the other natural use. The spindle bore is 56 mm (2.2 in) and the bar capacity 45 mm (1.8 in), and an automatic bar feeder unit and a part catcher are both on the option list. With the two fitted the lathe can run small turned parts from bar with little attention.

Dener prints the spindle motor power as 11/20.4 kW. Rapid traverse is 30/30 m/min in X/Z, and the cutting feed rate is given as 1~5 m/min.

The frame is a one-piece casting with a 45° slant, carried on roller linear guideways with C1–C3 class ball screws. FANUC 0İ TFP is the standard control, with Mitsubishi M80A-8A as an option. A fully enclosed cabin, a chip conveyor and automatic lubrication and coolant systems are standard equipment.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 6,000 rpm spindle, the fastest in the TTC and TTH range
  • 45 mm (1.8 in) bar capacity with a bar feeder and part catcher on the option list
  • 30/30 m/min rapid traverse in X/Z
  • Chip conveyor and fully enclosed cabin are standard equipment
  • One-piece cast frame with a 45° slant on roller linear guideways

Limitations

  • 6 inch (152 mm) chuck limits the size of chucked parts
  • Machining length of 433 mm (17 in) rules out long shafts
  • C axis, tool measuring and workpiece measuring are optional equipment
  • Cutting feed rate is listed as 1~5 m/min, half the upper figure of the TTH models

Best For

Small bushes, flanges and fittings Bar-fed parts up to 45 mm (1.8 in) Aluminium and brass work that benefits from 6,000 rpm Short shafts within 433 mm (17 in)

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What size of work does the Dener TTC-6 take?

The maximum turning diameter is 305 mm (12 in) and the machining length 433 mm (17 in), under a swing diameter of 560 mm (22 in). The chuck is 6 inch (152 mm) and bar up to 45 mm (1.8 in) passes through the spindle.

02 How does the TTC-6 differ from the TTC-8?

The TTC-8 carries an 8 inch (203 mm) chuck, a 66 mm (2.6 in) spindle bore and 52 mm (2 in) of bar capacity, and its spindle speed is 4,500 rpm. The TTC-6 has the smaller chuck and bore but runs to 6,000 rpm and has a slightly longer machining length.

03 Which control does the TTC-6 use?

FANUC 0İ TFP is listed under standard equipment. Mitsubishi M80A-8A appears in the optional equipment list, so the control is a choice to make when ordering.

04 What is the TTC-6(C)?

Dener prints a second column headed TTC-6(C) beside this model. It differs in two rows only: the TTC-6(C) lists a maximum turning diameter of 275 mm (10.8 in) and a machining length of 362 mm (14.3 in). The page does not explain the designation.
