Dainichi Kinzoku Kogyo is a Japanese lathe specialist headquartered in Amagasaki, Hyogo, with its main plant in Tarui, Gifu, and a US subsidiary, Dainichi Machinery, in Carol Stream, Illinois. It builds large flat-bed lathes: the DL series of CNC precision lathes, which keep conventional handwheels alongside a FANUC control and Dainichi's own conversational software, the heavy DL/TL132-152 and W16L machines, and the MG, M, DR and W lines of CNC lathes. The company also carries out overhauls and retrofits of existing machines.
