Techni Waterjet G2 3000

The Techni Waterjet G2 3000 is a compact production abrasive waterjet cutting system with a 3,000 x 1,500 mm cutting envelope, occupying the entry-level position in Techni's G2 production series while delivering the same core platform architecture — steel bridge gantry, servo-driven ball screw axes, and compatibility with Techni's direct-drive servo pump — found across the G2 range. The G2 3000 is targeted at smaller fabrication shops, custom metal cutting services, and OEM manufacturers that need a capable production waterjet without the floor space or capital requirements of larger machines.

The G2 3000's 3 x 1.5 m cutting envelope accommodates the most common sheet metal formats in North American and European fabrication — 4 x 8 ft (1,219 x 2,438 mm) and 1,500 x 3,000 mm metric sheets — without overhang or repositioning in most cases. The compact table format also reduces the facility infrastructure requirements: structural floor loading, water recirculation tank capacity, and abrasive storage are all proportionally lower than larger G2 variants, lowering the total cost of site preparation and installation.

Mechanically, the G2 3000 uses the same precision-ground linear rails, servo motor drives, and ball screw actuators as its larger siblings. Positioning accuracy is rated at ±0.05 mm with repeatability of ±0.025 mm. Maximum traverse speed is 20,000 mm/min. The machine is compatible with Techni's 30 hp direct-drive servo pump as standard, with an optional 50 hp pump available for higher cutting speeds on thick material. The cutting head accepts standard abrasive waterjet tooling — orifice jewels, mixing tubes, and nozzle assemblies — using widely available consumables.

Techni supplies the G2 3000 with the Intelli-VISOR CNC and monitoring system, providing real-time pump analytics, abrasive flow monitoring, and maintenance scheduling from a touchscreen operator interface. IGEMS CAM software is included, covering 2D cutting, true-shape nesting, and automatic parameter selection for the full range of cuttable materials. The G2 3000 is a natural stepping stone for shops growing from manual plasma or laser cutting into waterjet, providing a familiar PC-based programming environment and straightforward operator training pathway.

Techni backs the G2 3000 with the same global service and parts support network as its flagship machines. The direct-drive servo pump's lower parts count compared to intensifier systems is particularly beneficial for smaller shops that may not have in-house pump technicians, reducing service call frequency and enabling more maintenance tasks to be handled by trained operators.
