How much does the CNT Motion CNT-1000 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the CNT Motion CNT-1000 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The CNT Motion CNT-1000 is the heavier of the two base routers CNT Motion Systems builds: a servo-driven gantry machine with a standard cutting area of 60 x 120 in (1,524 x 3,048 mm), 11 in (279 mm) of Z-axis travel and a rapid traverse of 2,200 ipm (55.9 m/min). It weighs approximately 4,500 lb (2,041 kg). The maker describes it as designed for heavier applications, including nested-based fabrication of plastics, hardwoods, solid surface and non-ferrous metals.
The axis drives are split by job. The long Y axis runs on a helical rack and pinion, while the X and Z axes use Hiwin ball screws, an arrangement that puts screw-driven positioning on the bridge and the head, where the cutter is steered. All axes are closed-loop AC brushless servo. Repeatability is listed at 0.001 in (0.025 mm) and positioning accuracy at ±0.002 in (±0.051 mm).
Mass is the clearest difference from the CNT-950, which is listed at approximately 2,500 lb (1,134 kg) and 1,500 ipm (38.1 m/min). A heavier structure moving faster is what nested panel work and aluminium plate ask for.
Read the equipment list with care. The base model feature list on the CNT-1000 page names a 12-HP ISO30 tool-change spindle with 24,000 RPM speed control, a 12-station fixed tool bar, a multi-spindle 32mm boring unit, a 25-HP regenerative vacuum blower and an aluminium vacuum grid. The introduction on the same page calls spindles, vacuum, dust collection and the tool changer optional. A quotation should therefore spell out which of these are in the machine being offered.
Control is a Windows11 PC running WinCNC, housed in a NEMA 12 cabinet. The cutting area and Z travel are standard figures only; CNT states that other dimensions are available.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Rapid traverse of 2,200 ipm (55.9 m/min) on a machine of approximately 4,500 lb (2,041 kg)
- Hiwin ball screws on X and Z with a helical rack and pinion on the long Y axis
- Closed-loop AC brushless servo drives, with repeatability listed at 0.001 in (0.025 mm)
- All-side-loading 60 x 120 in (1,524 x 3,048 mm) cutting area, with other dimensions available to order
- 11 in (279 mm) of Z-axis travel as the standard figure
Limitations
- The page lists spindle, vacuum and tool changer under base model features but also calls them optional, so the standard equipment has to be confirmed in writing
- Tools sit on a fixed tool bar with ISO30 holders; the page shows no carousel or chain magazine for this model
- The listed footprint of 100″ wide by 147″ long has to be cleared on all sides for loading
- Table load, spindle torque and electrical supply for the complete machine are not in the specification list

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The standard cutting area is 60 x 120 in (1,524 x 3,048 mm) and the standard Z-axis travel is 11 in (279 mm). CNT Motion marks both as standard specifications and states that optional dimensions are available, so the machine can be ordered longer, wider or taller.
02
The CNT-1000 is listed at 2,200 ipm (55.9 m/min) rapid traverse and approximately 4,500 lb (2,041 kg). The CNT-950 is listed at 1,500 ipm (38.1 m/min) and approximately 2,500 lb (1,134 kg), with a customer-specified cutting area. Both use servo motors, a helical rack and pinion on Y, Hiwin ball screws on X and Z, and a Windows11 PC control.
03
The feature list names one 12-HP HSD ISO30 four-pole 230V tool change router with on-the-fly speed control to 24,000 RPM, ISO30 tool holders and a 12-station fixed tool bar, plus an HSD multi-spindle 32mm boring unit. The same page describes spindles and the tool changer as optional, so check the quotation.
04
A Windows11 PC is the controller, and CNT Motion states that every machine comes with WinCNC software pre-installed. The feature list also names EnRoute24 Plus CAD/CAM software with nesting and a NEMA 12 computer control cabinet.
05
CNT Motion lists repeatability of 0.001 in (0.025 mm) and positioning accuracy of ±0.002 in (±0.051 mm). Those are the same figures it gives for the lighter CNT-950; the two machines differ in speed, weight and structure, not in the listed accuracy.
