Choose the Takamaz XD-10I for high-volume small chucked parts such as rings, caps and small flanges that run unattended across two spindles at up to 5,500 RPM. Choose the Takamaz XT-8 for turning and boring work that needs longer strokes, 190 mm (7.5 in) in X and 400 mm (15.7 in) in Z, and does not need live tooling. Both run a control based on the FANUC 0i-TF Plus, so the control is not a deciding factor.
