Overview

The Haas EC-1600 is a large-table 50-taper horizontal: 64 × 50 × 32 in (1,626 × 1,270 × 813 mm) of travel over a 64 × 36 in (1,626 × 914 mm) T-slot table that takes 10,000 lb (4,536 kg). The spec table has no pallet changer rows. Work is fixtured directly on the table, which has 7 T-slots on 4.92 in (125 mm) centers.

Z is the short axis. At 32 in (813 mm) it is the least of the family: the EC-1600ZT has 40 in (1,016 mm) on the same X and Y, and the EC-1700ZT has 50 in (1,270 mm) with 68 in (1,727 mm) of X. The EC-1600 therefore suits plates, frames and long weldments that are wide and tall but not deep.
